First Oil Test at Sarıkız-2
Alaşehir basin, has cradled the first commercial oil discovery in western Turkey. At sarıkız-2 well 5 different levels of oil reservoirs were tested. The recovered oil has an API grade of 31->40, with almost zero sulfur content.
Batı Umur Gas Discovery
Batı Umur-1 drilled to the west of priorly drilled Umur-1 became the first gas discovery of Merty Energy as well as the first commercial gas field of the licence area in 2006. The Edirne licence later enjoyed more discoveries to date.
Reisdere Discovery
Merty Energy explored with further success and discovered another commercial gas field by drilling Reisdere-1. The motivation of the discoveries made Merty Energy go forward even more successfully.
Test production has started in Sarıkız Field

Destan Gas Discovery in Gelibolu Peninsula (Thrace Basin)
The gelibolu peninsula in thrace basin has enjoyed a big gas discovery. First time in its history. Destan-1 and Destan-2 Wells have been completed as commercial gas producers. while an extensive seismic work jointly with an agressive drilling program is ongoing.
